05/5/06 Microsoft announce 'adCenter'
Microsoft has switched its Search Engine advertising brokerage to its own 'adCenter' service. Until last year, advertisers could only buy adverts on MSN Search via Yahoo's Overture service, with
adCenter supplying a growing number of adverts as the program developed. This expected move
is Microsoft's latest advance into the search market, currently dominated by Google and Yahoo.

21/4/06 AOL plan bulk email 'tax'
AOL has shocked the Internet community by announcing plans to integrate its email systems with GoodMail. Goodmail provides a certification program for
bulk email, whereby email newsletter publishers are charged a per-email fee to ensure that Goodmail's associates (to include AOL) accept delivery. Critics are
accusing AOL of doing "nothing to help fight spam while essentially adding a delivery tax to e-mail".
